SORRY IF I BROKE YOUR CUTE-O-METER.
Ink on vellum birstol board, about 9x12in. Each panel in 3in, or, hand-crampingly small. Every line was done with a japanese "G" nib. Why yes, I did get carried away on the backgrounds, how can you tell? I think there might be some mental spill-over from Scott McCloud's Making Comics here, there's even a bit of character/extension/discrete entity/envrioment stuff going on. To be published in the 2007 edition LHS's student literary/arts publication "Polyglot"--it was even one of the four "early submissions winners" way back in febuary. I'm pretty excited, because I've been lead to believe the circulation for "Polyglot" is larger than the majority of student arts publications, and it even gets some sales from Powell's Books, and I wasn't even sure if the editors would even go for comics--but they loved it! Yay! The title is correctly written "Boy-Monster; Girl-Monster" It is called a semicolon DA! EDIT 04/06: I've already said this in my journal, but holy shit, this got DD'd! Thank you so much for all of the +favs and kind words. Because in some strange way, being told by so many strangers that MY comic made THEIR day made MY day. And even better, today is my birthday! Thanks bunches everyone. Daily DeviationGiven 2007-04-06Boy-Monster, Girl-Monster is just too sweet... I've been reduced to picking my teeth out of my keyboard! Wonderful pacing with excellent attention to detail and a fantastic environment that's a character in itself. Be sure to stop by her page and check out the rest of ~skeletonzoo's lovely gallery!
